The 2002 World Cup was held at Buckton Vale School!
The semi-finals and final were played out at the Annual Summer Fair!
Goals came fast!
In the first semi final
Italy won Ireland 5-3.
In the second semi final
Denmark won Spain 2-1.
Italy! Ireland! Denmark! Spain!
The National Flag of Italy! The National Flag of Ireland! The National Flag Denmark! The National Flag of Spain!
The World Cup Final was between Denmark playing in red and Italy playing in blue. In the 7 minutes each way match Denmark were the first to score a goal but by half time Italy had brought the score up to 2-1. When the final whistle blew on this six-a-side exciting match the score was 4-2 for Italy!!!! Denmark in red shakes hands with Italy in blue!
In the World Cup Final Italy won Denmark 4-2!
Well done Buckton Vale School!
Winners of the Jubilee Hat Competition! Also held at the Summer Fair was the Jubilee Hat Competition Hats fit for a Queen!

Teams representing 15 nations entered
the arena flying their National Flags.
Flying the Commonwealth Games Flag! Vangelis "Chariots of Fire" was played for the spectacular Opening Ceremony.
A very long jump! The large crowd of spectators enjoyed watching the contestants and cheered them on in the team games! Above the Mountains!

1st Jamaica! 3rd Wales! 2nd South Africa!

Under the Bridges! 3rd Scotland! A very fast race!
